A Goose role who's constantly finding other birds to follow around, their heart aflutter with love for them and them alone until they find someone else to follow around.

Role Description:

You can track one player

Special Ability: Track

GGG Stalker Icon

I swear, he is my REAL soulmate. I promise I won't- OOOOOO who's THAT guy?

When you get close to another bird, you can activate your ability to have an arrow point in the direction they are, much like how the vulture gets arrows pointing to corpses. The arrow will follow them around, leading you right to the tracked bird. At any time, you can re-activate this ability on another bird to track them instead, losing your tracking on the previous target.

Strategy

While you can endlessly follow the bird you tracked, it is often better to leave them alone and do other things while keeping an eye on the arrow to see where your target is, or what they might be up to; it doesn't hurt to check in on your stalked target from time to time though.

Some things to look out for while tracking someone:

  • If the arrow suddenly disappears, your beloved has been slain! At least you know which direction to go to report the murder now.
  • If you end up tracking a completely different bird than the one you targeted, then either you tracked the morphling/id thief, or that bird is the pelican and you're still tracking that first bird from inside his belly! Either way, run for the bell and pray that you don't get killed or gobbled up too before you report your findings.
  • If the arrow suddenly jumps to another location, then your tracked bird has used some kind of teleport, whether it's a map feature like the basememt's portal or something more nefarious like venting around the map is for you to deduce.

Trivia:

  • The stalker was added to the game for the 2023 Lunar New Year event in patch 2.15. This was also the patch where the Esper Goose was reworked into the Esper Duck.
  • The role icon depicts a long haired goose with heart pins in their hair as well as hearts in their eyes (hopefully those aren't pins too)
