This role is exclusive to the Corruption game mode.
The Crow's goal is to corrupt (synonym of infect for the Pigeon) every player alive, but unlike the Pigeon (not available on this map), it doesn't stop there. After everyone is corrupted, the Crow is revealed visually and a timer and a spooky animation appear on everyone's screen. The Crow gains double speed, immortality and the ability to kill with 3 seconds of cooldown. They have [the number of players multiplied by five plus 10] seconds to kill all the remaining players. If the timer runs out before they kill everyone, they die.
Description[]
Crow is a neutral role that is only present in Corruption mode and, accordingly, only on the Bloody Harbor map. The Crow is the replacement for the Pigeon, which is not on this map, in corrupted mode.
The Crow has two abilities. The first allows you to apply corruption to any living player. At the beginning of the game, the cooldown of the ability will be 7 seconds (in the next rounds 10 seconds), after using it, the cooldown will increase to 15 seconds. IMPORTANT: Corrupted players will not appear corrupted. In other words, a Crow cannot corrupt the same player while he is already corrupted. When using the ability, the corrupted player's corruption gauge will immediately fill up. The ability to corrupt the player is represented by a tentacle wrapped around a heart. Press SPACE to activate. The second ability allows you to display spoiled players on the map for 5 seconds (players are indicated by red dots). Press TAB to display spoiled players. The cooldown is 30 seconds (the first 5 seconds is to use the ability and another 25 to cooldown). This ability allows you to find out who is already corrupted and their location. This ability is EXTREMELY important to use after the transformation if you want to have a better chance of winning. Displayed as a glowing skull with a third eye on the forehead. Press SHIFT+L to activate.
The goal of the Crow is for ALL players to be corrupted in any way. Already corrupted players do not need corruption (however, it is important to understand that corruption is removed when the player completes 3 tasks). Corruption does NOT disappear after emergency meetings, so don't worry about it (unless you are suspected).
Players can be corrupted if:
- Picked up too much corruption and their scale filled up.
- They were imposed by a corruption demon (normal or invisible - it doesn’t matter).
- If the player is a duck, the Ducks are already corrupted (they can still be corrupted).
When the last player is corrupted, the Crow will transform and be displayed visually. At this moment, all players (including the Crow itself) will receive a alert in the form of a bone skull of a crow with black wings and an opening third eye (which, as it were, symbolizes that the end will come to everyone). From this moment begins the Crow Hunt.
Crow Hunt[]
The Crow gains immortality (it cannot be killed or absorbed by anyone and in any way), doubled speed (if the Crow has noticed you, say goodbye to your bird carcass!), the ability to kill, the cooldown of which will be only 3 seconds and a timer whose time depends on the number of living players (5 or less = 30 seconds, the timer will be increased by 10 seconds for every 5 players), in which the Crow must kill ALL players (no exceptions!). If several players are in the kill radius of the Crow, then the Crow will immediately kill EVERYONE who was at that moment in its radius (there is no limit on the number), so it is better for players to stay away from each other.
During the Crow Hunt, all other victory conditions are suspended (for example, after activation, the Ducks will not be able to win by outnumbering the Geese or sabotage, and the Goose will not be able to win by completing all the tasks (neutral roles, like the Pelican/Falcon, even if they have achieved their goals.) Also, you cannot call emergency meetings and report corpses while the Crow Hunt is going on.
Crow Hunt Messages:
CROW GOALS: Kill Everyone
OTHER ROLES GOAL: Survive
If the Crow kills all the players in the allotted time, then they will win. If the Crow fails, then they will die and all the game conditions of the roles will be resumed (or if some team has completed the goal, then it will be declared the winner (for example, if the Ducks have surpassed the Geese, or if the Geese have completed all the tasks, or if the neutral role fulfilled her condition. So if, for example, a Pelican Hunt started, followed by a Crow Hunt (the Pelican Hunt was paused), and the Raven died, the Pelican Hunt timer would resume.
STRATEGY:
PRE-MORPH: Unless you're in a hurry to corrupt players or you're keen on who the Demon Slayer is, avoid corrupting during the day, or else you risk corrupting the Demon Slayer, them gaining the temporary ability to kill and them killing you. Instead, corrupt during the night, as your color and name are hidden to the other players, and after you escape the Demon Slayer, they will never know it was you. Make sure to corrupt your last victim next to as much other people as possible, since when you turn into the crow, meetings can no longer be called nor bodies can be reported. Therefore, you can do this during the day or the night, the one you hate the most.
POST-MORPH: Kill the player you last corrupted and then chase whoever is on sight. If no other player is on sight, cover the streets with your blazing fast speed. Roam around the map like a fruitfly, until you find someone to dip chicken nuggets on their blood. Repeat this process until everyone is dead or until the timer runs out and you die. If the second occurence is given, take some time to mourn about your loss.
Fun fact: when you're killed by the Crow, a special death animation plays.
